What happens during a treatment?
A hopi treatment is carried out fully clothed on a couch. The candle is placed gently into the ear, this vibrates the inner ear dum and creates a soothing crackling sound while it burns down.  The sinuses will gradually warm during the treatment and promote a natural drainage, you can have a facial massage added and we use Neal’s Yard organic massage oil. A treatment will last about an hour.

What are Hopi Candles?
Hopi Ear Candles (thermo-auricular therapy) quite different from conventional wax candles, a Hopi ear candle is actually a cotton tube, impregnated with beeswax, honey and therapeutic oils, that is painlessly inserted into the ear. Hopi candles are hollow tubes made from cotton and soaked in beeswax, when lit the candle gently stimulates the ear and the warm air facilitates the removal of ear wax.
